My favorite room in my house, now, is my master bath, remodeled/rebuilt by Kirk Bath. The design, workmanship, and quality of materials is excellent. Working with Joel and Emma was a pleasure from the first day we walked in until the day the job was finished. Russell, their carpenter, tile setter etc. was also a pleasure to work with and very conscientious about his work, always making sure there were minimum disruptions to our life. We had a leaking problem with the shower head we chose and Joel replaced it twice. The problem persisted and he refunded our money in full and we ordered a different brand and model. When it arrived Joel installed at no charge. We love the new shower head so much I’m actually happy the first model failed! We highly recommend Kirk Bath.
Have your kitchen or bathroom cabinets ceased to function well for you? For those of you who answer “yes!”, we are offering a cabinet sale to help you upgrade to beautiful new DeWils cabinets: For each KirkBath or Kirk Kitchen contract signed on or before December 30, 2016, receive a credit on the final invoice of $50 per cabinet box to be installed by us, up to a maximum credit of $500 per jobsite. Yay!
Standard cabinet features include plywood boxes (not particle board), soft-close door and drawer hardware, beautiful hardwood fronts, and easy-clean water resistant vinyl interiors.
The new vanity in this recently completed KirkBath remodel is made of quartersawn white oak with a dark coffee stain. When white oak is quartersawn, beautiful almost iridescent fleck figuration is revealed, making this a lovely and stately wood choice. Another highlight of this bathroom is the fold-up teak shower seat. This is a great alternative to a tile shower seat. This teak seat is warmer, doesn’t take up floor space when not in use, and is less expensive. We bolt these into solid wood blocking hidden in the wall, achieving a load rating of 400 lbs.

We recently completed this master bathroom remodel, which features a very nice neo-angle shower. Neo-angles are great space savers because they share “circulation space” with the vanity and/or toilet. But at 42″x42″, this one still feels spacious inside. The high quality acrylic shower pan and frameless glass enclosure are both DreamLine products. The flooring is Yellow Moss Marmoleum, for a fun pop of color.
Large in-shower windows, such as the one in this recently completed KirkBath, have proven to be popular. And for good reason! Natural light and a bit of drama elevate the bathing experience from mundane to joyful. The key is to really button the waterproofing, which we pay great attention to by wrapping a waterproof membrane fully into the window rough opening. Here, sunlight spills onto our Signature Seagrass through-body porcelain tile, installed in a half-lap pattern. See all Signature tile options here.
If you don’t like climbing in and out of a tub, are planning ahead for aging-in-place in your home, or just appreciate sleek design, we have a solution for your shower! We offer a high-quality barrier free shower pan that can be installed in an existing bathroom without altering the existing floor joists. This allows the pan to be installed with out the need for a structural permit or framing labor, greatly decreasing the cost of a barrier free shower. These pans are made in the NW, and backed by a 30 year warranty.

My spouse and I have a long-standing and overwhelmingly positive relationship with Kirk Design & Construction. Early in their business, we hired them for a couple of projects, and we were impressed with their enthusiasm, expertise, and integrity. We have since contracted with them for three major projects in the last half-dozen years.
In all cases, Emma’s designs address the needs and desires we had for the spaces. We own a modest house, and Emma is expert at finding underutilized space to make the house’s existing footprint work effectively. She incorporates our broad ideas with her inspired concepts and building knowledge. She is very responsive to design feedback.
Joel provides excellent management of construction projects. He hires employees and subcontractors who work to high technical standards and who are trustworthy. There is virtually no downtime once a project begins: all materials are on site and subcontractors are scheduled. His project timelines are accurate; our first major project was scheduled for seven weeks, and it was on track until some unforeseen complication in the final week delayed the completion only a few days. He also communicates well, keeping us informed of progress and next steps. The worksite is always organized and clean, and they are always respectful of our space, privacy, and time.
We trust Joel and Emma so very much. We love their commitment to transforming spaces with beautiful and functional design, quality materials, solid construction, and attention to details. They are also people of great integrity and kindness.
You asked for it; you’ve got it! Our KirkBath clients have been asking us when we will apply the KirkBath concept to kitchens…and the answer is now. Kirk Kitchen uses the same principles of systematization to provide a high quality, fast, and cost-effective kitchen remodel.
